Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about indexing, IndexNow, Google and your account.

Can IndexDoctor force Google to index my pages?

No tool can do that honestly. Google decides what to index. IndexDoctor finds the reasons Google skips pages, tells you how to fix them, and keeps your sitemap clean. Tools that promise "instant Google indexing" usually misuse Google's Indexing API, which is only allowed for job postings and livestreams.

Is it safe for my server?

Yes. IndexDoctor checks pages one at a time with a short pause between them, identifies itself as IndexDoctorBot, and only reads public pages listed in your sitemap.

What does "verified" mean?

You uploaded your site's key file. It proves the site is yours, and IndexNow requires the same file before it accepts your URLs.

Which search engines get my pages through IndexNow?

Bing, Yandex, Naver, Seznam and Yep. Bing also powers results in other places, such as DuckDuckGo and Yahoo.

Do I need Google Search Console?

No, but it helps. Without it you get IndexNow submissions and page checks. With it (Pro), you also see Google's real index status for each page.

How do I upgrade or cancel?

Online payments are being set up. For now, send a message from the contact page and we will move your account to Pro or Agency, or back to Free, the same day.
